But although the game name has changed, the game system is the same as previous editions, with more emphasis on the heroes in the adventure, increasing their skills and experience as you advance through the game, until you become a very powerful and invincible hero.

Might and Magic Heroes VI takes place in the year 564 ASD (year of the Seventh Dragon), some 400 years before the events of Might and Magic V, in the epoch of the Eclipse of the Blood Moon and the Ascension of Kha Beleth, the Soveriegn Demon. The legendary General Archangel, assassinated in the war of the old races, has been reborn, with the intention of recovering all his powers and taking control of Ashan while he destroys his old enemies and the terrible Grifo dynasty.
